At ETS we offer a range of services to landlords and the commercial sector from PAT Testing to fire alarm maintenance and emergency lighting.

Electrical Testing

Landlord electrical certificates are an important part of ensuring the safety of your tenants and being able to prove that you have taken reasonable steps to do so.

It is recommended that you should have a full electrical inspection carried out every three to five years dependent on previous inspection advise. This examination investigates the state of the electrical wiring throughout the property and thoroughly checks the safety of the electrical installation.

Once this is done and processed an 'Electrical Installation Condition Report ' will be than issued electronically. It will declare if the electrical installation is safe or if any remedial work is required to ensure it meets current safety standards.

Fire Alarm Design, Installation and Maintenance

We offer a comprehensive service covering the design, installation and testing of fire alarm systems in rental properties including shared houses (HMO’s) We can supply and install full Grade A, LD1 systems right down to stand alone mains wired smoke detectors. We can provide you with support for regular testing and maintenance.

Emergency Lighting

Emergency Lighting is an important part of health and safety and should illuminate exit routes. These routes are for people leaving the building in an emergency, a safe exit must always be illuminated. Emergency Lighting is mandatory for all HMO properties. We can design, install and test emergency lighting for you to make sure you remain compliant with legislation and the lights in the property work correctly and safely.

PAT Testing

Portable Appliance Testing or PAT testing is an important part of any health & safety policy. Here at ETS we help you and your company fulfil your legal obligation to electrical equipment safety.

Requirements for electrical safety are not limited to large businesses, the law places responsibility on businesses such as;

We use the latest PAT testing equipment to test both 230V and 110V appliances. Our testing is carried out in accordance with The Institute of Electrical Engineers' (IEE) code of practice. Regular inspection and testing protects you as an employer and your employees.
